What more should you know about the foreigner’s employment card?
- the main purpose of the stay is employment
- is linked to a specific position with a specific employer
- for foreigners from all countries of the world except EU/EEA + Switzerland
- applies only to employment in the Czech Republic
- maximum validity 2 years
- for all levels of education (including primary education)
What are the different types of employee cards?
Dual employee card
➢entitles to stay in the Czech Republic + employment
➢ the foreigner does not have free access to the labour market
➢ change of employer/position is subject to the consent of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic
Non-dual employee card
➢ residence in the Czech Republic
➢ the foreigner has free access to the labour market (§98 o)
